A
long-term commitment to Milwaukee's central city youth
For youth to succeed, 3 key areas need
to be working: home life, academic and character development in school and wise usage of choice time.
If one area
is struggling you have a problem, if two are struggling you have a crisis, if all three are in turmoil the youth's life is
often taken over by social service agencies or the juvenile correctional system.
That's why Unity in Motion forms
a long-term relationship (as early as 4th grade through post-secondary education), then builds and delivers quality programming,
financial support and high quality school and organizational partnerships around that relationship-- in other words -- delivers
"The Promise" from adolescence through post-secondary education.
